Equaliser

A custom-made, adjustable, lightweight folding wheelchair

About:

The Equaliser is a custom made, lightweight, folding wheelchair with multidirectional adjustment. The design of this frame allows not only for the adjustment of the rear wheel position to change the balance point of the wheelchair but also height adjustment. The ability to change the height of the wheelchair at both the front and rear allow us to alter the seat angle of the wheelchair if necessary. Perfect for new wheelchair users or those whose needs and comfort may be expected to change over time.

Made from high tensile, heat treated aluminium, the Equaliser has a total weight starting at just 11kgs. Or, to make it even lighter the Equaliser can also be manufactured in titanium. An optional curved back frame adds a sleek aesthetic to the wheelchair and further reduces weight.

The movement of a folding wheelchair frame results in reduced energy efficiency when compared to a rigid frame chair. The optional inclusion of a lift out footplate helps to provide more rigidity to the Equaliser, in turn improving energy efficiency.

We completely custom design and manufacture the Equaliser right here in Melbourne. From all of the dimensions and geometry to components, accessories and colour choices. No two chairs are the same.
